Without the right equipment, it’s difficult to judge how much volume of chemical you have in your chemical storage tanks. If you overestimate your volume, you could run out of inventory before the next delivery. The last thing you want to deal with is downtime that could have been avoided.
On the other end of the spectrum, if you underestimate your inventory, you’ll pay costly transportation fees for a partial fill up that could have waited several more weeks. In that case, you’re unnecessarily spending money.
Digital level systems provide accurate and reliable level information to help ensure that you never have a chemical refill delivery that’s scheduled too early or too late. Poly Processing Company offers a broad range of digital level systems that give excellent accuracy. Let’s take a look at two of the level instruments that we provide.
The 100 Series Submersible Level Sensor Transmitter provides continuous level measurement for both corrosive and non-corrosive liquids. These submersible tank level sensors have been designed for the toughest industrial applications. Unlike ultrasonic level transmitters, our liquid level sensors are completely unaffected by any foam, vapor, turbulence or condensate in the tank.
The 100 Series Tank Level Sensor works by sitting at the bottom of the tank and measuring the head pressure of the liquid pushing down on its ceramic sensing diaphragm. The only submersible level sensor with an integral molded weight to ensure the sensor will remain at the bottom and you will always receive an accurate, reliable reading.
These plastic level sensors have been engineered to be completely corrosion resistant. They are available in PVC, PP, PVDF and PTFE Teflon® making them the perfect liquid level measurement devices. All models come equipped with a Teflon® jacketed cable and a Kalrez® O-ring seal to ensure it stands up to the industry’s most corrosive chemicals.
Our Continuous Level Transmitters require no programming, have no moving parts and are engineered with a non-clogging design. They are the industry’s simplest, most reliable level sensors, making them the perfect solution for tough applications where ultrasonics will not perform.
